Job Openings at YMCA Summer Camps:
Part-time Assistant Site Directors
Plan, supervise and implement designed activities to include indoor/outdoor games such as: arts-n-crafts, sports, large group activities, small group activities, team building, etc. Participate in activities will all children of all abilities, giving assistance when necessary to ensure the camper’s success. Act as site director in site director’s absence.
Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years of age. Must have a valid, State of Mississippi Commercial Drivers License, Class B or obtain one within the first 90 days of employment. Current infant/child CPR certification and First Aid. Ability to create and work within a Christian environment so that each camper has the opportunity for spiritual growth. To further the Mission and Values of the YMCA (Mission: To put Christian principles into practice which build healthy mind, body, and spirit. Values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.)

Part-time Camp Counselors
Plan, supervise and implement designed activities to include indoor/outdoor games such as: arts ‘n’ crafts, sports, large group activities, small group activities, team building, etc. Attend precamp staff training and orientation. Assist in the planning of the daily program segments, special camp programs, and opening assembly.

Qualifications: At least 18 years of age and/or one year of college education. Experience or training significant evidence of emotional maturity, good moral character, judgment, integrity and leadership capability. Interest in children. Current infant/child CPR certification and First Aid. Ability to create and work within a Christian environment so that each camper has the opportunity for spiritual growth. Part-time Bus Drivers
Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid State of Mississippi Drivers License as follows: Commercial Driver's License (or obtain one prior to employment), for seventy-two (72) passenger bus a Class B license with passenger endorsement is required. Class C license with passenger endorsement is required for mini bus drivers. A State of MS valid driver’s license meeting the requirements of the Motor Vehicle Report for van drivers. Bus, Mini Bus and Van drivers should know and obey road signs and signals by meanings, shapes and colors.
