youth intervention services / aop
Youth Intervention Services/AOP (Adolescent Offenders Program) serve as an alternative for those involved in the youth court system to going to mandated training schools. This one year program in George, Jackson, Harrison, and Hancock Counties works with the courts, youth, families, and schools to provide a rounded education about alternatives to negative behaviors and is court-ordered. Youth are able to continue living with family and attending school and receive exposure to various topics and career paths. Involve your business or industry today in touching the life of an at-risk teen.

Mississippi abstinence education program
The purpose of this program is to build community awareness through abstinence educational curriculums, such as R.I.S.E. (Responsibility, Integrity, Self-Control, Empowerment), and A.W.A.R.E. (Abstinence with Awareness Rewards Everyone). We provide young people with tools to help them bridge the gap between their physical development and their cognitive ability to handle the implications of such development. In Harrison and Hancock counties, contact Jessica Owens at (228) 867-1952 for more information. In Jackson and George Counties, contact Shelinda McGee at (228) 875-5050, x16 for more information.
