All
YMCA aerobics classes are taught by
certified instructors. Schedules are
subject to change with minimal notice.

arthritis, exercise & you
A 45 minute
class designed to help individuals with
arthritis keep joints flexible, muscles
strong and reduce the pain and stiffness
associated with arthritis.
cardio blast
A
combination of hi-low aerobics, step
sequences, kickboxing, or slide designed
to improve and maintain cardiovascular
endurance.
cardio sculpt
A cardio
class geared for all levels.
Incorporates strength training using
power moves, drills, weights, tubes,
stability balls, step and/or kickboxing.
club pump
This
class works all the major muscle groups
of your body, using adjustable weight
loaded barbell choreographed to music.
fit ‘n’ fun
Fitness
class designed for ages 3 to 5 to help
develop balance, coordination and
teamwork skills through games,
imagination play and floor exercise.
group cycling - interval
A 45 minute moderate to high intensity
non-impact cardiovascular workout
performed on a stationary bike.
interval
A 60 minute
workout. Includes 40-45 minutes of
intervals, alternating between step
combinations, muscle strengthening and
high intensity exercises, followed by
abdominal work.
kickbox pump
A combination of cardio kickboxing
and Club Pump. This class has it all!
kids boot camp
Fun fitness
class designed for ages 6 to 12 to help
develop flexibility, cardiovascular
fitness, as well as muscular strength
and endurance.
lite side
Entry-level
aerobics class featuring the best of
both low impact and basic step moves.
Recommended for beginners, pre- and
post-natal women, and senior citizens.
on the ball
Incorporates the use of stability balls
to improve balance and coordination,
while strengthening and defining the
core muscles

pilates
This is
the ultimate mind-body exercise for
anyone who wants to tone, streamline,
and realign your body without the
bulked-up results of more conventional
methods.
senior yoga
Designed to
allow those with physical limitations to
participate in a gentle form of yoga
performed while sitting in a chair.
Experience the benefits that yoga can
bring by working the joints and muscles
to increase flexibility, strength,
balance and circulation. Benefits
include reduced blood pressure, faster
recovery from injury or surgery, better
posture and increased mobility.
silver seniors
This class is taught at the Villa
Maria in downtown Ocean Springs on
Washington Ave., (on the first floor
meeting room). This is a chair aerobics
class that includes cardio and strength
training.
strictly step
An
intermediate step class focusing on
cardiovascular training with step
combinations followed by strength
training and abdominal work.
yoga
De-stress
and relax while building strength,
flexibility, and muscle tone using yoga
postures and breathing techniques.
Incorporates stretching, muscle toning,
and deep relaxation techniques, while
flowing from one posture to the next.
TAI CHI
Tai Chi is an ancient martial art form
using gentle flowing movements. Benefits
include reduced stress & anxiety,
improved balance & flexibility,
increased energy & feelings of well
being. Class is safe for all fitness
